DisAI is co-organizing LowResNLP, a workshop at RANLP 2025, taking place in Varna, Bulgaria. LowResNLP brings together researchers working on natural language processing for low-resource and under-represented languages, recognizing that while recent NLP advances have delivered impressive results for high-resource languages, many languages remain underserved due to limited data, evaluation resources, and tooling. The workshop – supported, among others, by researchers working on DisAI’s multi-lingual component – provides a focused space to address these gaps.
The program features invited talks, oral presentations, and posters covering topics such as multilingual modeling, data creation, evaluation practices, and applications of NLP in low-resource settings.
If you care about inclusive language technologies, multilingual NLP, and advancing research beyond high-resource languages, join us in Varna to exchange ideas, present your work, and connect with the LowResNLP community!
